Many things go into the cost of your countertops. Besides the total square footage, pricing may vary depending on the number of slabs required/material yield, edge profile, backsplash, type of sink, cooktop or electrical cut-outs, and access to your home.
For a typical size kitchen countertop project, the process usually takes 2-14 business days from signed contract and payment of your 50% deposit. This time can vary depending on current workloads.
Granite is the hardest and densest of all the natural stones. While not impervious to scratching its highly durable composition makes it more resistant to scratching than most stones. Although, its level of scratch resistance will vary from slab to slab, granite is still a popular choice for kitchen counter tops.
Although the typical application of marble is for the bathroom vanity tops, Jacuzzi tops, and fireplaces, it is possible to use it in the kitchen. However, due to the fact that it is easy to scratch and is affected by acidic substances, such as vinegar, ketchup etc, we don’t usually recommend it. Moreover, the high-gloss of the marble countertop can be partially lost as many chemicals etch its surface.
Depends on the size of the project. Most installations take approximately 2-4 hours to be completed. Please take the following into consideration: the size of your project; the challenges our installers may encounter (due to cabinets not leveled); tear out (how the existing countertops were installed), and a series of other issues. Sometimes an installation cannot be completed on the same day. Any issues unrelated to the countertops, for example, unleveled cabinetry, will not be fixed by Granite Shop. We will accommodate you on the schedule for the next available date. We recommend you to take the whole day off on the day of the installation. This is a remodeling process, not a simple delivery.
